Our Services

Surgery

At Crescent Street Veterinarians, we provide a wide range of veterinary surgical services designed to support your pet’s health, comfort, and quality of life. Our experienced veterinary team performs both routine and advanced procedures using modern surgical techniques, personalized treatment plans, and compassionate care every step of the way.

We understand that hearing your pet may need surgery can feel overwhelming, which is why we focus on clear communication, transparency, and individualized attention throughout the entire process. From the initial consultation through recovery and aftercare, our team is here to guide and support you.

Personalized Surgical Care for Pets

Every pet has unique medical needs, which is why every surgical plan is tailored to the individual patient. Before surgery, we perform a thorough examination and review your pet’s medical history to determine the safest and most effective treatment approach. Diagnostics such as bloodwork or imaging may also be recommended prior to the procedure.

Your pet’s safety and comfort remain our top priorities throughout surgery. We use advanced monitoring equipment during anesthesia and our highly knowledgeable nursing staff closely monitors patients before, during, and after procedures to help ensure a smooth recovery experience.

Surgical Services We Offer

Spay & Neuter Procedures

Spaying and neutering are among the most common veterinary surgeries and play an important role in preventive care. These procedures may help reduce the risk of certain health conditions while also helping manage unwanted behaviors and pet overpopulation.

Mass Removals

Lumps, bumps, and abnormal growths are common in pets, especially as they age. Surgical mass removal may be recommended to improve comfort, prevent complications, or allow for further evaluation of the tissue. Our team carefully evaluates each case and discusses the best treatment options for your pet.

Ear Surgery

Some pets experience chronic ear infections which can lead to hematomas (a blood pocket in the ear), growths, or other ear conditions that may not respond to medical treatment alone. Dr. Sanabria has successfully repaired aural hematomas as well as performed sedated ear cleanings and treatments.

Internal Surgery

Internal surgical procedures may be needed to address conditions affecting organs such as splenic tumors, bladder stones or pyometras (infection of the uterus). Our team takes a careful and personalized approach to diagnosing and treating surgical conditions while prioritizing patient safety and recovery.

Amputation Surgery

In some cases, amputation may be recommended to relieve pain, improve mobility, or treat severe injury or end stage disease. While this decision can feel emotional for pet owners, many pets adapt remarkably well after surgery and continue to live happy, comfortable lives with proper support and recovery care. Dr. Sanabria has performed enucleations, tail and digital amputations.

What to Expect Before & After Surgery

Our team believes preparation and communication are important parts of successful surgical outcome. Before surgery, we will provide instructions regarding fasting, medications, and arrival time. We also take time to answer questions and explain what to expect before, during, and after the procedure.

Following surgery, pets recover in a calm, closely monitored environment. We provide detailed aftercare instructions, including information about medications, activity restrictions, incision care, and follow-up visits. Our goal is to support both pets and owners throughout the recovery process and help ensure healing progresses comfortably and safely.
